About this cluster
Nigeria's meat import bill runs into billions of dollars annually. The Livestock Cluster combines cattle finishing, broiler production, and piggery to capture rising urban and peri-urban protein demand with disciplined operations.
Cattle
We purchase lean northern stock and finish them over 9–12 months on pasture in Ayetoro and Ado Awaye, supplying Lagos and Ibadan abattoirs. Investor units are structured around 5 head of cattle, targeting ~300 kg live weight per head by year 4. Animals have a productive life of roughly 8–10 years; the enterprise is designed for 25+ years of operations.
Poultry (broilers)
500-bird units run 5–6 cycles per year (6–8 weeks per cycle). In-house maize and soybean cut feed costs by about 30%. Birds reach 2.0–2.2 kg market weight, with the first payout in as little as 8 weeks.
Piggery
High return-on-feed ratio: sows average 2 litters per year and ~9 piglets per litter; weaners reach 80–90 kg in 5–6 months. Southern Nigeria demand is growing near 12% p.a. Productive sow life is 5–7 years; enterprise life 20+ years.
